Beware: the cook ends up drunk (joke).
It is a recipe for all those who do not use their prejudices before knowing. It is a dish originating in Haiti.
-1 chopped chicken
-1 glass of whiskey
-1 large onion
-1/2 liter of chicken broth
-100 ml of liquid cream
-salt and pepper.
We pepper the chicken pieces. We put a pot on the fire with a jet of oil. We brown the chicken pieces over low heat. When they are well made inside and golden on the outside. We remove them and reserve them.
Chop the onion and fry slowly, until it is soft and golden, in the same oil where we have cooked the chicken. We pour the whiskey on the onion and also the chicken. Let it cook for a few minutes, so that the alcohol evaporates and we add the chicken broth.
Let it boil over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 20 or 30 minutes, if we see that it is too dry, we can add a little water from time to time.
