If your new boyfriend enjoys sports, buy him a baseball hat, sweatshirt or jacket with the insignia of his favorite team. Many boys love sports, and buying him gear will make him think of you every time he wears it. The gift will also let him know you listen to him and care about his interests. If you feel daring, spritz a bit of your perfume on the hat or jacket before giving it to him so it smells like you.
For a more personalized gift, make cute coupon cards that your new boyfriend can redeem for a massage, picnic in the park or movie night. Summon your creative energy and decorate the coupons with fun lettering and colors. Simply write, “To: Bob, From: Jane. This coupon is redeemable for a 10-minute massage,” or whatever else you choose. Place the coupons in an envelope before giving them to him.
Bake your new boyfriend a cake. Pour the batter in a heart-shaped pan for added romance. Write a cute message in icing on the top such as, “You’re cute,” or “I have a crush on you.” Since your boyfriend is new, avoid anything too serious such as, “I love you.” Many boys love sweets and you can feed each other pieces of cake if you wish.
Ask a friend to take pictures of you making a kissing face, smiling or making funny faces. Print the pictures and place them in frames or make a scrapbook with captions describing the pictures along with heart-shaped stickers or other embellishments. Add pictures of the two of you if you have them.
Things he likes
The simplest approach may be to give him something you already know he will like. If he’s into music, give him a gift card for downloads. If he’s handy, perhaps a new tool. Or if he’s an avid book reader, consider a book you think he would like – and buy two copies so you can read it too.
